I was never one of those people who had 5 year plans or any year plans. I had vague snapshots of the future–getting proposed to, decorating the Christmas tree with my kids, water aerobics with the other seniors–but no specific plans to make that happen.

Now that’s all fallen into place for most people I know, and I’m still waiting, comically alone, chugging the champagne at the back of the baby shower.

Being free of the burdens of a loving husband and children gives me plenty of time for hijinks/misadventures/inventive ways to get things done without standing up, and I decided to create this outlet for those stories. (Those of us without kids or husbands need something to read besides facebook pregnancy announcements.) Enjoy!
